-Mike Winn: The DroneDeploy concepts actually emerged from a challenge of anti-poaching. We want to use drones to help National Parks understand where animals were and come to protect them. The challenge was using drones is really complicated so we both tried the following, we make software that's really easy to use, that gets a drone to capture data about the things you care about. -Jono Millin: We are really pushing the boundaries of Technology and one of the wonderful things about this technology is not only is it able to help a lot of businesses, we're also trying to enable these nonprofits to use the products that we're building in order to help make the world a better place. -Nicholas Pilkington: It's not every day that you get to work at a software company where the software that you're writing is responsible for flying thousands of unmanned aircraft around the world every day. We certainly don't expect everyone who stopped the drone deployed to know about drones, and so part of our onboarding process is to take you out to show you how drones work and to understand how the software can be used to deliver real insights for industry. -Mike Winn: As a result of encouraging everyone to bring what they love and what they enjoy into DroneDeploy we've kind of got this organic culture that's grown. I love the way that the team celebrates each other's achievements, well that's daily weekly through our superhuman award who put on amazing events and outings, we have bi-weekly barbecues where we all get to hang out. -Jono Millin: One of the things that I love most about DroneDeploy is just the people that we have working at the company very fortunate to get to work with some of the top minds in the industry and to work on some of the coolest technology.
