-Martin Debize: I’m Martin, and I joined Contentsquare a year ago as a Full Stack Software Engineer. At Contentsquare, a Software Engineer’s mission is to develop a tool that allows us to expose data on the sites and applications of our customers. We also create product features focusing on delivery and continuous technical improvement. The best thing about my job is the interesting technical and product challenges. We really care about the quality of our code, and we don’t hesitate to make improvements to our technical stack - for instance, we will soon be putting in place a process of “continuous deployment”. Compared to my previous jobs we have a lot more control over the technical designs that we create. It’s not all about coding - when it comes making to technical decisions, we all work together to find the best possible solution to the problem. One project that I’m really proud to have worked on is CS Live. Cs Live is a Chrome extension which allows the customer to analyse activity and revenue directly on their website thanks to zones on the site in question. The project was a huge success with our clients, so it was a real pleasure to have been able to work on it and to see the outcome. Contentsquare still has the spirit of a start-up. The people here are very competent and super friendly, so it’s a really enjoyable environment to work in. There’s a great atmosphere in the office which makes office life pretty great. Everyone gets on really well and we often do things after work together, we play foosball and ping pong together, so in the end “work hard play hard” is pretty accurate.
